Unbounded Novella Unbounded Series #2.50

Mortal Brother

by Teyla Branton, 148 pages

Chris Radkey’s only job in the Mexican jungle is to look after the plane while his Unbounded siblings retrieve a desperately needed cure. It was supposed to be easy. Chris soon finds himself using every ounce of his Renegade training in a desperate struggle to survive. (Read anytime AFTER reading The Cure, Unbounded #2.)

Love and Duty—Both Can Get You Killed

Pilot Chris Radkey’s only job in the Mexican jungle is to look after the plane while his Unbounded siblings retrieve a desperately needed cure. It was supposed to be easy. Much easier than seeing his wife murdered by an Emporium hit team, leaving behind two motherless children.

Chris soon finds himself using every ounce of his Renegade training in a desperate struggle to secure dangerous Emporium captives and to save the life of a friend. His “easy” job has become a nightmare, one he may not survive. But the woman he cares about needs him, and he won’t allow anything to stand in his way.

Please note: Mortal Brother is not as long as the books from Erin’s viewpoint. It can be enjoyed at any time. However, the events take place in the Unbounded timeline simultaneously with The Cure (Unbounded Book 2) and extends several days past that novel, so I recommend reading Mortal Brother AFTER reading The Cure.

Reviews

J. Prins says...

"This story was about Chris, the mortal brother of Erin. It was nice to have a story featuring a mortal, but still in the Unbounded world. There was lots of action and thrilling moments. I really like Irwin's gift and Benito was an unusual addition. The ending was very sweet. Although this was a novella, it did not feel rushed or truncated. It was a full and complete story. I highly recommend this book."

Chris G. says...

"This a great addition to the UNBOUNDED Series. The action just doesn't stop and the characters of Chris and Tenika along with Marisa make this story a wonderful plus to this series. I would recommend reading the first two books in the series before reading the Mortal Brother, overall a great read"

Patsyc says...

"Teyla Branton outdid herself with the Unbounded Saga. They should become a movie. The writing is superb. The brother has quite a few surprises all his own in this one. He's actually very heroic in this one in more ways than one. I'm totally shocked and thrilled. It's mind blowing"

Eva says...

"Glad to hear more from Chris, and watch him in action with the Unbounded Emporium . He's had it rough for a bit and he's handling everything well. Now let's see how he handles Stella`s proposition. Maybe something will come of that and he will be able to have a little luck on his side , not that he hasn't had it before, he's done well being the Mortal Brother in this crazy life he's found himself and his children in. Keep them coming Teyla!!!"
