Upstaged

by Teyla Branton, 298 pages

Autumn Rain’s unique ability is put to the test as she becomes embroiled in a make-believe world where everyone appears to have something to hide.

In a world of make-believe, only imprints can uncover the truth

Autumn Rain’s unique ability to read imprints is put to the test as she attempts to find a missing actress—and ends up discovering a murder. When her investigation leads to an eight-year-old mystery that involves more missing actors, Autumn becomes embroiled in a make-believe world where it’s difficult to tell fake imprints from real, and where everyone appears to have something to hide.

To learn the truth, Autumn must team up again with the handsome Detective Shannon Martin, complicating their uncertain relationship and testing her loyalty to her best friend Jake Ryan. Why are both men so infuriating?

Life takes another unexpected turn when Autumn discovers a clue to her own past that may explain her unusual abilities. But her mixed feelings about this discovery are put on hold as she finds herself in a deadly struggle to keep from being upstaged permanently.

NOTE: I shouldn’t have to say this, but Shannon is a guy!

NOTE: This book is a reprint. It was formerly entitled Final Call under another pen name.

Reviews

AliceF says...

"Her characters are so life like and brings you right into their lives from the first chapter. Her books are an easy read and really keeps your interest."

Mercedes R. Herndon says...

"I have all of the books with Autumn Rain. Teyla is an author who draws you into the story like you are part of it . . . I have reread all of the books three times already and each time they are just as fresh as the first."

Bookrated says...

"But I will tell you I loved it. I have read the two previous books in this series and enjoyed them immensely. Sometimes, as a series progresses, the characters lose steam and likeability. This was not this case. Autumn and Tawnia are vibrant and deep. They aren't surface characters where their emotions and actions are predictable and "cookie-cutter". This book is going on my favorites list. I stayed up all night to finish this book. I just had to know what happened! If reading were a drug...this would be the ultimate fix."

Cami says...

"The author does a fabulous job with the family dynamics, the romance, and the suspense. The paranormal angle is fun and adds a great depth to the story. I'd definitely recommend you read the entire series."
